Track my fish

Each year the Gladstone Area Water Board stocks Lake Awoonga with fingerlings as part of the Environmental Licence. The primary species stocked are Barramundi, Mangrove Jack and Sea Mullet. To help us understand and monitor the health of the fishery, a Fishery Monitoring Program has been implemented which includes the use of the Track My Fish Lake Awoonga App.

The App will provide data to our staff on the number, size and health of catches to help inform our stocking program. We will be reliant on the regular use of the App by fishers to help us gain as much data and insight as possible.

Catch a $1K Barra!

As part of our ongoing commitment to the recreational fishery at Lake Awoonga, GAWB has introduced six unique ‘pink tagged’ Barramundi to the Lake, which are worth $1,000 each if caught!

To be a valid winner, entry must be made via the Track My Fish Lake Awoonga Mobile App.  Find out more about the App here.
